Symposium of the Scientific Committee established at the Belgian Food Safety Agency
- Friday 8nd December 2023 -
 |
Objective
The main goal of this symposium is to address the big challenges impacting plants and plant products such as climate change, new political initiatives (Green Deal), globalisation, and the price of the plant products we consume. The symposium will also focus on possible adaptations to these challenges such as alternatives to pesticides, and urban and precision farming; and potential emerging risks such as plant toxins and loss of biodiversity. To conclude, a roundtable discussion will allow stakeholders to identify the points of interest for the authorities, academia, industry and consumers. |
